Privacy Policy

Spreemix buys used books, DVDs, CDs and games. To do that we need a small amount of information from you and nothing more. This page explains exactly what we collect, what we deliberately don't, who we share it with, and how to delete everything. It's written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

What we collect

Only what we need to value your items, pay you, and ship your box:

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your shipping address, and an optional phone number for the carrier.
  • Your payout account — either a PayPal email or a Venmo username. We store the address or username you give us, not a password or financial login.
  • The items you scan and list, and the offers we make on them.
  • Your order history — the shipments you send us and the payouts we send you.

What we don't collect

When you scan an item, the camera reads the barcode on your device. We receive the barcode number — never a photo. No images from your camera are stored or sent to us or anyone else.

We don't collect your location, your contacts, or anything about how you use other apps or websites.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum needed to run the service, and only with providers who help us do it:

  • Our shipping label provider, to buy prepaid postage and generate the label for your box. This requires your name and shipping address.
  • Our hosting and database provider, which stores your account and order data securely so the app and website work.
  • Amazon pricing-data providers, which we query by barcode to value your items. We send them the barcode, not anything about you.

We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising. We do not track you across other apps or sites. We share data with the providers above solely to perform the service, and with no one else unless the law requires it.

How to delete your account

You can delete your account at any time, two ways:

  • In the app, go to Account → Delete account.
  • Or email us at eric@spreemix.com and ask us to delete it.

Deletion removes your account, your sell list, and your order history. Some records tied to a completed payout may be retained where we're legally required to keep them (for example, tax and payment records), but they're no longer linked to an active account.
